Geriatric Therapy

Most adults approach their “Golden Years” eagerly anticipating retirement, grandchildren, or simply a new phase of life. However, seniors may also experience difficulty with this transition due to changes in health, financial concerns, independence and family dynamics. Many identify fears of possible disability and facing the challenges of aging. As a result, many seniors suffer from depression, anxiety, and isolation.

Psychotherapy is clinically proven to assist seniors manage their emotions by finding new meaning and purpose, along with securing new support systems. Therapy provides an environment for individuals to confront fears associated with end of life, along with managing grief as family and friends pass on. Therapy offers the opportunity to address issues from childhood, early adulthood and current life stressors. My services are offered on-site at senior living communities, and through telehealth.

Services are covered through Medicare, Medicaid and most health plans. Referrals accepted by clinicians, family and senior living communities. Physician order is NOT required for services.
